Ahhhh it’s a beautiful day! The sun is shining, the ocean is azure blue, the rain has lushed everything into indulgent greens 💚🌿🥬 and there are three good looking dreadlocked men planting seedlings and wielding machetes in my garden. I’d love to get in there too but some bromances need to be left to their own. People often ask me if Stefan has a brother…today he has two! And they’re European. Just about to cook lunch if anyone would like to come over? 😂

This is our beautiful friend and client Sarah who had her dreadlocks made by us ten years ago! Since then we have followed and quietly supported each other through (three each!) pregnancies, parenting and wife-ing 😂. I wasn’t expecting her in the day of her visit and really couldn’t stop squealing and laughing with excitement to see her back in the dread-seat. Social media has its downfalls but when it keeps you connected in ways like this it’s just so
special!

Day four and five of our first ever one-on-one dreadlock artistry course!

These days passed so quickly and sweetly. We are already in such a groove with teaching it feels like we have done this all along.

Day four started rainy and chilly so we prepared a herbal bath of comfrey, mugwort, motherwort, rosemary, lemon grass, young eucalyptus, ginger, turmeric, aloe Vera, basil, lavender, kaffir lime, plus some very special oils and essences for Manon to soak in by candle-light 🕯️ 🛁 🌿 then onto our stunning live model who chose a partial dreadlock extension in suuuper/skinny width with open ends. So challenging but Manon did wonderfully ❤️

Day five was fir Manon to practice and recieve her own long awaited partial extensions. Isn’t she radiant!

Thank you so much for coming to us Manon. You are an angel from heaven and we will miss you and will see you again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Day three of our first ever one-on-one dreadlock artistry course.

We started the day with breath-work, plant medicine and healing in the sun. Manon and I relishing in our time together 💕 Such an incredible way to start the day and support each other and the big day of learning and working.

Maintenance Methodology day with two different maintenance techniques and two live models (one being Stefan). We had lots of time for food and dancing. Manon taught me Tahitian dance and we had so many giggles. I’m going to miss her!!!

The evening was spent having herbal foot
baths, compress, massage and tea 🤎🍂🌿

Day two of our first ever one-on-one private dreadlock artistry course!

The day started with movement medicine, plant medicine, massage and relaxation. It was such a gift to share with Manon 🥰 suddenly she is like family, like a soul sister. It’s day four today and I just don’t want her to leave. On this morning we shared tears and healing touch and it feels the most incredible privilege to be a part of her journey and support her in all these ways 🥲. The plants, herbs and flowers, the beautiful space enwrapped by the forest, mantra and music, connection and the imparting of a new skill to lead a person forward with a hearts renewal, fresh purpose and direction. Such a gift to give ❤️

She picked up the dreadlocking techniques (even the more challenging ones) with ease. The cool cloudy autumn weather making the candle light, chai and cakes feel especially cozy and nourishing. We love this work so so much ❤️

Our first ever one-on-one private dreadlock artistry training!

The beautiful Manon from New Caledonia flew all the way to Australia just for our course. What a gift she is to receive as a special guest and teach and treat!

Today we opened with grounding, circle and intention setting…the rest is all dreadlock mapping, methodology, sectioning, twist and rip and crochet.

Every now and again we get one of those ground breaking earth shaking kind of a jobs where things just get wild. This gentleman bought a few different sets of pre-existing dreads from eBay. He dyed them, numbered them and knew exactly where he wanted each dread. Stefan definitely had the know how to make this epic free form, neglect style, had-them-for-twenty-years, never-seen-a-loctician-in-my-life kind of cheat (errrr transformation) happen. A bit of restructuring to hide an intense middle scalpy view, and lots of layering to cover any recede, plus plenty of extending! Woah 😳 amazing!!!
